Subject: Hell is a place of punishment

Heb 10:28-31
28 Anyone who has rejected Moses' law dies without mercy on the testimony of two or three witnesses.
29 Of how much worse punishment, do you suppose, will he be thought worthy who has trampled the Son of God underfoot, counted the blood of the covenant by which he was sanctified a common thing, and insulted the Spirit of grace?
30 For we know Him who said, "Vengeance is Mine; I will repay," says the Lord. And again, "The Lord will judge His people."
31 It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God. (NKJ)

In these verses the writer to the Hebrews is saying it is enough that people have broken the Mosaic Law and will be punished for that. But even moreso when rejection and manipulated lies made of the true meaning of gospel is done you can be assured God will have His day with the unrepentant person.

God in His foreknowledge has shown "great patience" in keeping His wrath from those who seemingly destined for destruction.

Rom 2:5
5 But in accordance with your hardness and your impenitent heart you are treasuring up for yourself wrath in the day of wrath and revelation of the righteous judgment of God, (NKJ)

Rom 9:21-22
21 Does not the potter have the right to make out of the same lump of clay some pottery for noble purposes and some for common use?
22 What if God, choosing to show his wrath and make his power known, bore with great patience the objects of his wrath-- prepared for destruction? (NIV)
