Do all of us at TDB have any other games in common ?

I play a lot of games as well as SSF, may be nice if we who are on BB can get some other games on as SSF seems to be reaching the end of its life.

Post your thoughts and sugestions fellas.

I have both of these, if we can get some more TDB interested, i would happily play either.

Does M-player COD allow vehicles like BF42 sk ?

Keep them comming

Enemy territory, and the 1.02 patch. Brilliant game and FREE download all legal, massive clan base, and good fun too, very tactical and reliant on teamwork.

I've suggested this one before but nobody took any notice. Germans Versus Yanks, and voted the best one of the team fps games. Smooth servers, even up to 64 players per game, and if you drop, just recon and your back in.

Just to give a bot more about this, look here at this review:

http://www.battle-fields.com/review.php?reviewid=71

The only gripe they had was that there was a lack of maps, and because of this they said it would die a death eventually. Well, there are that many clans playing this that it's still growing, mainly because you HAVE to work as a team, and besides, there are loads of maps available now for download.

Read the review, download the game, and 1.02 patch, and then get some experience playing on any of the hundreds and hundreds of servers, then we can make our own as anybody can host one with an ip.

Just as a thought, there over 23000 players on over 2000 servers on Gamespy when I looked tonight, so I think the game has some appeal.

"Does M-player COD allow vehicles like BF42 sk ?"
- Not at all.

I have in fact both versions, and my oppinion is that BF 1942 is 10 times more entertaining then COD. I get quickly bored with COD. I Had BF 1942 for about a year and im still not getting tired of it.

My feeling after i bought COD was that i wasted my money and it also medw me apriciate BF 1942 even more, and gave me a reminder of how entertaining they actually made BF 1942.

Oh yeah baby.....lol

In the interests of fairness though, if we arrange a time and post the IP, I'll make sure I'm there and I can take you through all the maps and objectives, and also the different classes, and tactics..bla bla...

Played this last night, was very happy to find there is no sniper rifle in the game.

The game is mission based like in BF 42, you have to achieve objectives in a set time, and the other team has to stop you.

None of the missions are posible without TEAM play as the special abilities of each character mean a balanced team is required, if you all went soldiers, the mission is not possible to complete.

Like this, any body else who cares to join us ??

ET is a DOWNLOAD of 258 meg. ET is multiplayer only. ET wasn't advertised or had any marketing budget at all. There is no paper manuals. ET has no single player option. No use getting ET if you aren't broadband.

Just that lot would make ET viable for only a small proportion of the available player base.

You admit that it has a decent following? With that lot in mind if it was anything less than excellent it would have no following.

Do the maths, consider how games are SOLD, and think about it.

"ET wasn't advertised"

ET was advertised on every major gamesite as i recall
and still is as a free download and on most pc mags ;P

"You admit that it has a decent following? With that lot in mind if it was anything less than excellent it would have no following."

so whould you admit that because people buy halflife & bf1942 to play online that they are no less "excellent" ?
i personnaly broke my cds for bf1942 and other day halflife, and you know what i did ?, i went and re:bought them :)
anyways,,,
ive been playin online games a good 10 yrs and to dictate to people "This games rubbish n this games not" as i find it is best to let people judge for themselfs what makes a game "GOOD" or not for them,,,,

anyways to cut a long story short
you like ET i dont and we agree to disagree

group hugs all round but no slippin in the tongue.

I never said BF1942 OR Halflife were not excellent; they are, I just said ET was excellent and as the others cost money, you can shove them up yer jacksy, lol.
