Jason -

You can buy new carbs on ebay or from VW heritage, but TBH the quality is lousy.

I would look on eBay (or at Dubfreeze if you're going) for a genuine German 1300 carb, if you are lucky it will be a good one, if not contact Laurie Ellis 01724 720553, he will be able to properly refurb your original German unit using all the correct jets for your engine. He also re-bushes the throttle spindles to prevent leaks.

For an AR 1300 engine, you should have a Solex 31 PICT 3 or 4 carb.
