Dear reader,

On Saturday the 6th November a group of VW fanatics who want a better northern show met together to discuss the venues on offer.

It soon emerged that there were two schools of thought on what should be done about the vacuum left up north by the demise of GTI Spectacular (which has been allowed to degenerate into a wheel spinning exercise for jap crap, french tin and other assorted scrabble wagons).

So Dubfest has been responsible for the generation of two ideas of the perfect northern show. Paul Scott of Demon VW Will now be organising a northern show separate to DUB:FEST. We'd like to thank him for giving the rest of us the enthusiasm to stop this site from floundering. So what does this mean for DUB:FEST? It means we're faced with organising a show. A huge event, the likes of which hasn't been seen for a while. We're convinced we can pull it off and at a venue they call Elvington. Thats right, the venue for Ten of the Best, for countless 1/4 mile runs, is going to be hosting a show near you sometime soon.

Information (like the date!) may be sparse for the next few weeks, please bear with us whilst we work out what is going on. we're barely starting what is going to be a huge undertaking. With your help in these forums, we're convinced we can organise a hell of a day out.
