I don't know Jimmy Stewart but I remember Andy Stewart from " The White Heather Club". It used to be on TV and they'd sing all the Scottish songs and dance reels. He'd have guest on usually with names like Moira lolol. Andy also used to give the kilt laldy. Swinging back and forth. He was very entertaining. We'd even go the the show he'd have on in Ayr. Yep brings back lots of memories Gilly. I know what you mean about Silent Night. When I hear The Old Rugged Cross I well up. My grannie sang it often and The Holy City. She loved them both and because mum played the piano it was a common occurrence just to sit down and play to all of us and anyone else who was there. I miss those days.
