Subject: WikiLeaks

I don't have a heap of information about WikiLeaks, although I've seen the footage of the non-combatants being shot to death in Iraq, including a journalist/cameraman, and the latest news about Kevin Rudd's remarks about China. Is Wikleaks ethical? Should they be closed down?

I took a journalism course years ago, and ethics mainly involved being truthful and factual. If WikiLeaks, as information pirates, are giving the public the truth and factual information then I think it could be a good thing. We elect the governments so should be aware of what they are doing. I realise that some information may need to be protected though for the safety of soldiers, for example. However, overall I hope that Wikileaks survives!
