All the poems I learned were on the back of the toilet doors..
One was ..
It seems to me by all this writing
Rabbie Burns has been here shite-ing..
0r
The painters work has been in vain
the shitehouse poet strikes again

The boy stood on the burning deck
his pockets full of crackers
one fell down his trouser leg
and blew off half his knackers

It's no use standing on the seat
the crabs in here can jump ten feet

I use to come out of these lavvies with a big smile on my face and folks probably thought I was playing with myself... and as there were stacks of these poems on the walls, it took ages to read them all and I didn't even notice the bad smells of the place, of course you had to remember to take you pencil with you to add to the vernacular...I don't think the ladies had any poems on the walls as I asked girl friends and they said there wasn't..
Poor buggers...
