Subject: What an awful night!

We had a night planned to sit and watch the football on the big TV with friends. Monica my Austrian friend's son rang to see if he could join us too. The more the merrier to watch our boys we thought, but five minutes later the phone rang again and Andy said he had just witnessed a terrible accident just outside his place as he was leaving to come over. A young woman in a small car didn't give way and killed a 20 year old motor cyclist outright. Andy had to talk to the police and they spent about 2 hours with him whilst they measured the road and got down the details. How sad to think that so many lives will be affected by this tragic accident. The worst thing is they think she'd been drinking.
To top it off we lost the game but a great game was played by both teams. I think they beat us by about 7 points. The main thing was they all played their hearts out. Well done Doggies!
