You're right about that body fat stuff. Actually she was wondering where she got the 'Cystitis' from. When I said the SPA she said that it was heavily chlorinated. Maybe killed off too much of her GOOD bacteria. Who knows?
I'm with you . I don't even wish to own one either. All that cleaning and chlorinating just seems like a lot of work for a little pleasure but then again we are all different.
Who knows what exactly they were Edie and when a women is covered from head to toe we don't really get a chance to speak to them. You never see them out for coffee or lunch. They aren't in the workforce so I have no idea and I don't force myself on them so see what makes them tick. I see a few women at the library but then again they are usually accompanied by their husbands, brothers maybe, or their children. It's hard to get to know them around here but and I don't suppose Monica cared as she's really not into that. I only ever struck up a conversation once and that was at The Carpet Wholesalers. We helped each other put the rugs back as we had both been browsing through them.
She seemed really very social but she didn't have the full face covered either so I felt that at least that I was able to converse with her as she was looking straight at me. She had the long light blue Burkha and a head shawl and a white band thing around the front of her head. I found her to be really pleasant but like I said that's the only opportunity I've ever had. Living where we do now, I haven't seen them out walking along The Esplanade in the evenings either. The place is abuzz with coffee shops and eating places but they aren't eating out either. Coles, Safeway or Footscray market is the only place the women seem to be. I guess we all have to eat.

My other neighbour Mona is Egyptian and I have coffee with her. She rents her unit and it is soooo clean. It's like walking into an Egyptian palace. Gold ceramic heads of kings and queens and little statues on the bookcase. The more the better. She might think I'm odd as I'm a minimalist and don't like clutter and stuff sitting everywhere. I don't comment on her palace type home and she doesn't comment on mine. I told her that it's lovey which it is and we respect that that's how we like to live. We are all so different around here. Irma across the road is a Croatian and she carefully sculpts her little trees all day long. Her husband had a massive heart attack and she's been on her own since she was 50. Her garden is lovely and I'm sure fairies live there. It has that sort of appeal lol.
