That's very sad about your friend and how brave she was to handle it all with pain relief. My friend who lost her daughter to breast cancer at 31 has just lost one of her close friends to it too. She went suddenly before Christmas. It's not a pleasant way to go either. You can celebrate her life now as she sounds like she was a very stoic lady.
On a brighter note, how's the puppy doing?
