All right Blue, I'm using the bunker that has served me well as a Spike Redemptionista and a B/Ser. It's got cookies, several cans of Sprite and vanilla ice cream with rainbow sprinkles.

All Darla has to do these days is make one small
>appearance and all of a sudden it's ALL about Darla.

Whenever I see a review for AtS that says, "best of all, Darla free!", I have to laugh because if they hated her so much why are they taking note of the fact she is not even in an ep?

Right. Darla is Angel's mom/lover/ex-wife combined. You just can't throw that kind of connection away.

Good for you, Blue. Sometimes I take that attitude myself. It's my opinion whom I like and my perogative. No one is going to tell me that I can't support my favorite characters.

I believe that there are plenty of Darla fans out there. I was talking to a friend of mine back when the Darla arc of ATS season 2 and she liked Darla.

And this is only in regards to the internet
>community though that also frequents plenty of popular
>Buffy and Angel lists and such.

The internet skews people's perception of things. Lurking at a few main sites, you'd think that was no support for Darla or that almost every Buffy/Angel fan likes the B/A ship. It's onluy if you take the time to really search the net that you can find the little factions within the fanbase. Sometimes, it is only when something becomes fully expressed on the show or a storyline is moving a certain direction that you see a small faction rise to power. I love B/S, but it wasn't until the last few eps of Season 5 and the first four eps of Season 6 that B/S is starting to gain power and legitimacy in the fanbase.

>My favorite complaint is "her voice annoys the heck
>out of me" and "that skanky ho."

Ha. I've always wondered where they got the whole "skanky ho" from. Yes, Darla was an ex-prostitute and yes, she did some very wrong things back when she was giving Angel the dreams, but onscreen, Darla was never promiscuous. Sexually aware, yes, promiscuous, no. Personally, I think Darla has a strong distaste and contempt for sex because of her bitter experiences as a prostitute. Even now, I wonder just how much she remembers from her earlier life as a human. I know she doesn't remember her name from the episode, "Darla", but that's about it. I will be interesting if she remembers anything else.

As for her voice, yes her voice can be a bit breathy, but she can sound very strong like in the That Vision Thing.

>And please no more Pylea type of stories unless they

Personally, I think the Pylea arc served to tell Angel that he cannot blame his crimes as a soull-less vampire on a separate entity. The demon was just a mindless animal. The crimes are all from the darker recesses of Angel's mind. For me, anything that gets Angel away from, "Oh, look at me, I'm so *special* because I have a *soul*" is good in my book.
