I don't think that quote is directly attributable to Ken Livingstone either!

As for not being able to do anything about it, if 20 million people had turned out at the march instead of 1 million you don't think that might actually make Tony Blair change his stance a bit? If more people had lobbied their MPs more, visited them and sent them messages then maybe more of them would've voted against the government line. If the all the lorry drivers came to parliament and blocked the roads, if a million people sat in parliament square every day. Movements don't just happen, they build up.

Just cos you can't be Gandhi or Che, don't mean you can't do nuffin.

And if you don't want the message board taken over by Iraq stuff, don't reply!
