She had not been aware of the murders, but from the tone of Toya's voice and his words she came to vaguely understand what he was so angry about. She frowned in disgust. How utterly weak, to take another's life without reason. Perhaps this thing had a reason, she told herself, hesitating to jump to conclusions. Still, whatever it was it was nearby, and so she should be on her guard. She relaxed, keeping her senses alert and her mind clear, waiting to see if the creature would show itself to them...
