I was entertained by this episode, albiet CONFUSED. LOL! The thing is... I don't know if it's just that I'm stupid, or if the show really IS this confusing! ROTLOL!!! Don't answer that! LOL! Anyway... WHAT IN THE WORLD happened w/ there little space ship? And then they .. what? SHOT it out of the SKY? errr.. SPACE? And then it HAPPENS to fall straight back down at their FEET? Even though she is a very discipline person, she seems to feel that there is more to life than what she had on Vulcan.

Back to season one when she had the conversation with Tucker about returning home to get married, Tucker told her she could be whoever she wanted to be as long as she was on the enterprise. That she didn't have to fit into anyone else's idea of who or what she should be.

I think it's one of the reasons she likes being around Tucker. They both challenge each other's perception of the other's race.

She likes the fact that Tucker challenges her to be more than she is. That there is no limit to who she can be.

One of the reason I think she likes Tucker so much is his willingness to express himself and his emotions. Going back to the episode where they meet up with the renegade Vulcan ship. She allows the mmind meld to further investigate feeling emotions with (Tolaris?).

I think tptb have shown she likes to feel emotions. It's why she was willing to strip in front of Tucker to have a back rub from him.

It's why she challenged him accept her help. It's why she continue to insist he come for more neuropressure treatments.

She also likes being with him. Part of it may be because she's tired of being alone. She probably figures Tucker is lonely too, particularily after the death of his sister.

When Tucker tells her about the whispering from the crew and Malcolm about them seeing each other in her quarters, she dismisses it. It's none of their business to be concern with their senior officer lives.

What's interesting to me is when they ended last season T'Pol tells the Captain she wanted to stay because he needed her, but in reality the truth was she had grown use to the freedoms to be herself and make her own choices for herself.

She didn't want to go back to Vulcan to a life she didn't want to live anymore. But more importantly I believe she didn't want to be away from Tucker who she grown to be fond of.

She's a woman who has come of age and desires the touch of a man in her life. She also wants the sensual desire associated with being in contact with a man.

She is growing emotionally and becoming more human.
