Oh my! Well .... I *do* think you're seeing things that I'm not; but hey --- to each his/her own interpretation! The way I saw that scene, Trip & T'Pol are getting LESS sexual the longer they interact this way. And I'd much prefer seeing THEM as getting to be truly good friends (like Kirk & Spock). I *did* find T'Pol & Archer as a "couple" rather interesting. -- Enterprise and All Things Trek

Maybe that's all they will ever be, but this season TPTB are bringing them closer together.

I think if you look back to the first season you can see that this the "Couple"

From the first episode of rubbing each other's back and ears

Trip being there when T'Pol broke off her marriage to Koss "You can be anyone you want to be while you're on the enterprise.

T'Pol has gotten upset anytime Tucker has been with another woman. "You couldn't keep your hands to yourself" after he got pregnant.

Tucker brings out her emotions, her humanity. It's one of the reasons she mind meld with Tolaris. She likes feeling her emotions.

Everytime when given the opportunity to leave, she finds a reason to stay. Like Tucker said, she can be who she wants to be, different, an individual, her own person.

Tucker in return has made the effort to get to know her and her culture. He has grown as a person. He listens to her and accepts her.

Archer on the other hand doesn't practice what he preaches. It's his way or the highway. He considers himself enlighten and without bigotry, but still holds a grudge concerning the vulcans.

Whenever we see Archer with T'Pol, he tries to dominate her.

Where as Tucker and T'Pol are seen as working together to accomplish a particular goal..

As I said before Tucker and T'Pol seem to bring out the best in each other.

Archer seems to get people hurt, usually Tucker or T'Pol.
He brings out the worst in humanity.
