While some of you have played this map over and over, I can't wait to get back home and go through it in full for the first time! Hope I can keep up with some of the amazing scores you have been getting.

In summarizing what I think I have seen from your posts here, it seems the strategy for highest score goes like this. Please add whatever else you think might be important.

1) Drachma has the greatest effect on the overall score, so the map should be played to optimize money.
2) Sanctuaries - Aphrodites and Hades seem to be necessary, but have you decided if the third is worth its cost in terms of both money and (probably more importantly) space.
3) Housing - an estate block positioned near Hades sanctuary is necessary for the taxes it can generate. All remaining spare space should be filled with townhouses.
4) Other cities. Is it best to conquer Sparta, or wait until it becomes an Ally? Plundering from any ally seems to get them all very upset and they eventually stop trading, so plundering should only be done in the last year or so.
5) Monsters. Trap Minotaur on the island. Get Hercules to defeat Hydra.

BTW, JuliaSet at CBC said if our sixth member did not send in a map we would get an average score instead.
