(She nodded, looking over at him and raising her hand with the remote in it and pushing the power button to flip it off.) Yeah, they gave me a painkiller earlier, helped my arm as well. (She didn't like how he was acting off, though she understood why because she was feeling awkward as well, as though she shouldn't be around him because any action she made could be misconstrued as having emotions behind them and that would just make her look weak and needy. The truth was that she was a big girl and that she was capable of handling herself and didn't need a man to validate her, but that she was also strong enough to know that leaning on the right man was something that made a powerful team. She knew that Skeeter was a good man, she had watched him hurt over a woman that had broken his heart and knew deep down that he was trying to get his life back together again. He could have slept with her the night before and he could have led her on to get what he wanted, but he spared her the heartache instead.. and she couldn't repay him by making him feel guity every time he showed face around her. She smiled over at him as he mentioned the connections he had and nodded.) That would be great.. I'll come down to your office sometime and we'll talk about it. As much as I love this place, I would like to have some more space. (She laughed a little, the room was absolutely tiny. Her eyes wandered over him as he ran his hand through his hair, appreciating the strength and masculinity in him.. hating that Gia had destroyed his image of himself.. they could have really been something.) Remy told me I am officially on leave now.. want to go grab a cup of coffee somewhere? I am dying to get out of this place.. been here for a day and I feel like its been a month. (She just wanted to be normal for a bit.)
