Subject: Pound 'em tonight

Here's my take on what happened in Notre dame the other night. First and foremost, our guys don't seem to be able to play 60 minutes of consistent hockey - AGAIN. Granted Gauthier let in three goals on seven or eight shots, this is not the performance a playoff goalie has to give, but the other guys on the ice should have helped a bit more. There are six players on the ice after all. Secondly, the officiating was not really up to snuff either. Mr. Davison could have been a bit kinder, but I guess fourth place teams aren't supposed to do all that well against first place teams. (Humboldt suspensions for the second and third man in- remember? Also the boys didn't seem to be as physical as they have to be. Notre Dame is a young, physical team and can dish it out.

What has to happen tonight is the Mils have to pound them, hammer them into the boards and physically dominate them. They have the firepower - although the goal judges in ND seemd to be counting double - must want to bolster the goalie's GAA. They can win this series, but have to want it more than it seems like they do. After the last game, this goalie is predictable, all they have to do is shoot high ' cause he butterflies right away. Be physical and take advantage of this and the game is won. You can win at home, then all you have to do is steal one there.

We'll see.....
