Subject: TIFF G4 File structure different

Hi Michel,
I am using Envision 1 for more than 2 years. I can't use version 2, because I did too many modifications on the version I have.

You might be heard about the DjVu image format of Lizardtech. You can convert bitonal tif files into Djv files with Lizardtech's software. That software converts most of the envision produced tif G4 files, but some big G4 files are not acceptable. The software says, "Error: Invalid G4/MMR Data"
I can open those defective TIF G4 files by any tif viewer. This shows that Envision produces regular G4 files. I think the problems comes from Djvu encoder.

On the other hand, I created a simple bitonal BMP file and saved as TIF G4 by Kodak Imaging and Envision. They are different..! Why are those tif files different?
Do you know the meaning of "MMR Data" on the G4 files?

I have two huge TIF files (2MB), one from kodak, one from envision. Do you want to see them? I will post you.

Thanks
