I have tried using both 0 and 1 when I load the images into memory for my thumbnail program. In either case, I can load about half of the images in a directory before I get the CreateDibGraphic failure message. Basically I create a TDibGraphic, resize it using a TResizeTransform, and then assign the resized graphic to a TImageScrollBox. I then free the original TDibGraphic and TResizeTransform. I am using Delphi 5, but the procedure should be the same as for C-Builder. I am using your demo project as the basis for the thumbnail program.
The images I am using are straight from my digital camera, at a JPEG resolution of 2048x1536 and a file size of less than 1 MB. I also have noticed that larger images cause the same error message using your demo program as you shipped it. I suspect you have a problem with the TDibGraphic class. Again, I am using Win98 Second Edition. Using Win NT, I have NO PROBLEMS AT ALL - everything works OK????
If you would like, I would be happy to send you the program files (not too big) and enough sample images, so that you can observe the problem directly. I am really disapointed at this point, as I bought your library with the hope of making my own thumbnail viewer program, and I have no clue as to why I am getting this error message so often. Thank you for your concern.
