Yes, could you please send me sample files, and a minimal sample project that has this behavior.

Martin project is in CBuilder, and I have not yet reproduced it, without his source bmp images.

For some images appearing as blank rectangles, this is probably the windows API call, CreateDibSection failing with large images. I have not found any work around to that, other than using WinNT or 2000, which seem to have higher limits on image sizes.
