he also needs to get some ego about himself. The kid has all of the physical gifts required to be an excellent AFL player, with size and pace in abundance, however like a lot of young players that find themselves floating in and out of the seniors, he simply has to have the self belief to understand that he should be in the senior team.

With belief, I think his skills will also step up and he'll work harder to prove himself. Playing reserves and then playing as a sub in the seniors is harming his progress. As a comparison, look at the manner in which Ned Long has stepped up to grasp his opportunity.
