Thanks PTP, TT , nice to see the board lives on still and that it looks like the old names are kicking on (btw PTP, yes your granddaughter obviously gets her good looks from granddad) ;)
Don't post much on boards anymore other than Hawthorn ones though as, and reading through the posts on here, the games in the parochial "not the same". I'll take the liberty and speak for Buzz and say I think he feels much the same.

I used to love talking 'footy'. Now, it's talking profits and losses, player loyalty or club loyalty (or lack thereof of either), ridiculous compensation (Budd worth less than Thomas?... please...). Geezus.. even Richmond looking like they may finally be on the road to some success, it's to much to take.

So much so that I barely watch games that don't involve the Hawks and I still only follow them as they're so deeply ingrained in my soul that it'd take something truly drastic for me to ever give them up.

So I'll drop by and read the board from time to time and wish everyone well but postings will be few and far between. Organize that drink session though and I'll give it a shot at trying to be there.

So for now, this old bloke will just reflect on things like memories of when Richmond had 9 Flags when the Hawks had only two. I'd probably die content knowing it's now Hawks eleven Flags, Richmond ten. Warms the cockles it does, warms them nicely.

Get in early and wish everyone a great Christmas, ciao for now guys, Troop.
