Subject: winterwonderland

I woke up early as usual, before I retired I thought how nice it would be to sleep later in the morning, my inner clock still wakes me at 5 or 5:30 every morning.
Upon looking out the window I could not resist putting a winter jacket over my big fuzzy bathrobe and going outside.
Everything is lit by bright moonlight and the snow that is laden on every tree branch looks like a fairy was doing some lavish painting. The shadows on the fallen snow in the yard cast beautiful patterns on the white glistening areas . It is all so breathtakingly beautiful.
Sometimes I dream of summer all year long but at times like this morning I am glad dreams do not always come true.
Tomorrow is "open house" at the animal shelter . Everyone is invited to visit and bring a treat for the cats and dogs.I will go there after church. I am also invited to an open house party for new members of the community so it will be a busy day. I have no plans for today except to relax after daily chores are done.I want to do some reading
but aside from that no plans made.
I do have to make myself rest..I have been washing down all the walls,ceilings..cleaned out all closets,got all my Christmas shopping done and wrapped,tree decorated and all Christmas trimmings put up and floors washed and waxed and the ones carpeted are shampooed.
I am feeling good but when one knows the cancer can return so quickly or at least the type I have, so I wanted everything done in case something would happen that I would have to be in the hospital. Cancer has so many different ways of striking ...an aquaintance died a few weeks ago just 3 weeks after being diagnosed, another is dying,one that was diagnosed with the same type I have died Sept. 10, those are reasons for people to make the best of every day, do a fun thing,a good thing, but enjoy.

Dear Tina, How inspirational your messages always are. Enjoy your lovley things, but please don't knock yourself around doing too much. As for your beautiful winter wonderland, I wish..I wish..I wish!
Today here was 42c.. or 108, F.. it was the hottest Dec day since 1953, worse than just putting up with that ( I don't have airconditioning) is that bushfires are burning out of control in many country/mountain areas here and many townships are threatened. So please say a prayer for rain for us.
