Subject: Fourth of July

Hello to everyone,

Hope everyone is doing well. Haven't hear from anyone in a while.

We celebrated fourth of July with a barbecue at my daughter's house. Her husband did all the cooking and the food was delicious. In the late evening our city had fireworks at a large field. They have this every year.

Earlier in the day, I had a birthday party for my sister, Shirley as she was born on the fourth. My oldest sister and her husband came as well as Shirley's husband. My best friend, Nancy also joined our family celebration. We had ice cream cake.

Since Nancy retired 2 weeks ago, we are going to set aside an afternoon once a week to get together and do something fun. We went to a matinee at the movie theater to see "Stepford Wives". Other trips will be shopping, visiting, fairs, eating out, etc.

We have been having great weather, nice & cool. It is going to get warmer this weekend and next week.

I have also been working on some much needed home projects, especially during rainy weather. I have a long ways to go. I have also been gathering good clothes that I have not worn for a while and am donating to local drop offs.

Just wanted to let you all know that I was thinking of you and hope you will update how you are all doing.

Phyllis

Sounds like you enjoyed your 4th of July as much as I enjoyed our July 1st Canada day.
Our weather has been fairly fine but still a cool summer. To top it all off we had a rare horrid thunder and lightening storm-because of it I had to buy a new computer moniter and new mouse and have the mouse programed in..this had an odd mouse program in the modem - I had to take it to a computer shop to get a new mouse accepted by the computer..$20 for that $200 for the monitor and $22 or around that for the mouse..plus taxes for sure.
