Subject: Great day!!!!

Wonderful time at my oldest daughters..about 1/2 hr drive from here.She had a birthday party for her dad/my husband.
Speghetti and meatballs-potato salad,cucumber salad,steak , weiners,hamburgers on the bar-b-que..Strawberry shortcake,Birthday cake etc.fire in the outdoor fireplace..lots of friends and family.We just got home a little while ago.
Been having a good summer-a bit cooler than most summers..but have been enjoying it between Ralstons and my doctor appointments anyway.
Think I told you all about my oldest dog being a silverware thief..well she has turned into a kleptomaniac..steals whole loaves of bread or any food she can and hides it-never eats it.Stole a book and hid it in her kennel which we call her cave..and I never ever tought her to read-lol
What would possess a dog who is 3 months short of being eleven years old to do all this stealing?We give her lots of attention,lots of walks and love.
My 3 budgies and 4 love birds are so much fun and sooo beautiful.Oh I know you lucky Aussies have them flying wild but to me they are a great joy even if I can't let them outdoors.My two little dogs the poodle and the half jack russel/chua. are so funny I cant begin to tell you of their funny antics-for 2 male dogs they get along so well together.
Well I certainly hope everyone is having a wonderful time and enjoying every day as much as those of us who learned through health problems that every day should be treated like as if it is the last day ever.I am glad I was always a hugger so no one thinks it weird now if I hug them.No one leaves the house without a hug.Except polititions-lol

Hi Tina,

Glad you had a fun celebration of your husband's birthday party. What a great menu of food. Isn't it great when someone else does all the cooking and preparation. It is so relaxing for the guests.

We have been having a cool summer also, but I must admit that I like this cool weather.

Your oldest dog must have learned these new tricks. It must keep you entertained. I cannot believe that he does not eat any of the food that he hides. I often watch the Animal channel and continue to learn a lot about animals and their habits.

It was great to hear from you.

Hi Tina,

Sorry to hear about your computer problems. It is expensive to fix one's computer but we cannot seem to survive once we are use to having one.

A couple of years ago, I left my computer on by accident and later in the day we had a thunderstorm and it completely wipped out my hard drive. I have to have a whole new hard drive replaced. Once I did this my computer was up and running but had different programs on it. It took a while to get use of it. I didn't purchase my computer as my son in Florida shipped it to me as they he had bought a newer model so I still considered myself lucky even though I had to pay quite a bit for new hard drive.

I forget to mention this in my e-mail yesterday.

We are having a cloudy day today but still cool.
