Subject: Hi..

Hello Everyone..Tina, good to hear that your heart attack was just a little one.. but even a little one is not good! Hope you are feeling better now.. just take care of yourself!
Well, I saw my great grandaughter Jemillah, again last Sunday.. she is nearly three weeks old now and Sooooo beautiful. Unfortunately I live on the wrong side of town! That is, family live on the other side of melbourne, and I don't have a car, it takes 2 train trips for me to visit.
Last Sunday we had a family get together for one son's birthday.. so that's when I got to see the baby.
But listen to this! My son Peter and his girlfriend Liz cooked us all a beautiful dinner, roast lamb and assorted vegetables.. and I couldnt eat a bite of it!
Why? Because the meat AMD the vegies all had garlic in them and I have a bad garlic allergy!
Peter had forgotten about that. So while all the rest tucked into a beautiful dinner I had to make do with a sandwich!!
Never mind.. it was lovely just to be together with family
Sunday I'm hoping to go to a 'Moon Festival' It's being run by the local Chinese community-- and there will be kite making and differet things including baking 'moon cookies" so it should be fun!
Ellie.

feeling fine-have to go for a stress test Tues.Ellie I understand the garlic allergy..I am not allergic to it but it does give me strong heartburn. It is supposed to be good
for you but there are always exceptions.
Glad you got to see the baby again-even though she is far away a lot of children and grandchildren live too far away for their extended families to ever see.
The Moon festival sounds so delightful..I love and enjoy kites. Here it is so much fun flying them on the beaches in the ocean breezes.Yum,the cookies sound like they would be delicious.
We are supposed to get the "tail end" of a hurrican tomorrow and tomorrow night..hope it is just that, the tail end.I think Phyllis lives where it will travel through
her vicinity. She will get the effects of the storm before it hits here as it travels up the coast.
We have been having very warm weather for September..the leaves haven't even began to change colors yet and a lot of flowers are still blooming.
Have fun at the "moon festival"

Hello to all chat readers,

Ellie,

I am glad that you were able to meet your beautiful great grandaughter Jemillah in person.

Sorry that you could not enjoy the delicious meal but as you said the most important thing was that you were able to be with family. It is good that you found out that it was loaded with garlic and at least you were safe from any reactions.

My 2 granddaughters are so far away in Florida that I miss seeing them. It has been a year and a half since I last went to Florida. I am hoping to go in January to celebrate my oldest granddaughter's 4th birthday.

I am very happy that my youngest granddaughter ( 3 l/2 months old)lives nearby and I am able to see her often as I take care of her 3 days a weeks. She is a joy to take care of.

Your 'Moon Festival' sounds like fun and I hope you do attend.

Today we are having a beautiful warm sunny day. Our fall weather is beautiful too with such colorful leaves highlighting the tree tops. I am not looking forward to our harsh New England winter weather. According to some predictions we are going to have a very cold, snowy winter.

Please keep in touch.

Hi Donna,

Glad to read your messages on this site.

Tina,

Sending my best wishes to you.
