Subject: out and about

March break is fun for the children who have the week off from school and extra fun for grandmas that are invited to join their excursions.Thursday my daughter and I took my 10 yr old granddaughter and 2 of her friends to Hatfield farms, about and hours drive from here.
We were taken on a long woods drive by horse and wagon "other yrs it would be horse and sled but no snow this March." 2 big persherons "splt wrng"-lol pulled a long wagon holding 20 people, seats were comfy , we went way back in the woods, there we got off by a big log lodge.
Inside the lodge they had a big fire in the fireplace, lots to eat and from there we went to the games building that had everything to thrill the children.Three hours later we were back on the wagon for the ride out of the woods, tired but happy.
On our drive there and back in our car the girls kept us amused as they sang every ditty they could think of.All three are very good singers and it made me so happy to be with them.
Spring is officially supposed to be here Monday but we have been crossing between spring and winter all month-one day cold one warm so to know what to wear is a challenge.
It was in the newspapers that this was the warmest winter on record for all of Canada.
I hope you are all enjoying yourselves ,Happy Spring and Happy Fall "wherever the term applies"

What a lovely day out Tina. Unfortunately my grandchildren are either too big.. young adults.. or too little.. babies.. to take out on trips with me now, but I'm looking forward to the time when the newest crop of babies grow up a bit!
Yes. it's Autumn here now, but the days are still warm and sunny.. not much color in the leaves yet. Spring is very pretty, but Autumn has always been my favrorite season.
Ellie.
