Hi Kylie,

Nice to read that you are back on line. Sorry to hear about your financial difficulties. I hope now that your husband has new work that things will improve for your family. I know if we do not pay our bills on time, usually everyone charges interest or late fees. It makes it harder to catch up.

You must be busy keeping your children entertained. Do you take a summer break from home schooling? Schools will be out the latter part of June here in New Hampshire. My niece will be graduating from high school and will go on to college in Massachusetts.

How has your weather been?

We have had 5-6 days of showers, light rain and it is raining today. We did have a break in the weather yesterday, it was cloudy but some sunshine.

Yesterday, I went to my former co-worker's retirement party celebration. I was asked to give a speech as I had know her since I first went to work and we had lunch & coffee breaks together for over 17 years. I was prepared and had written out my tribute to her and framed it in a gold frame. I actually read it instead of saying it by heart because I didn't want to leave anything out. Her family was present as well as a lot of other people. I enjoyed being there for her and it was a great party.

Tina,

Sounds like your flowers are way ahead of ours. Maybe we have had to much cold weather and rain. Had to turn the heat back on.

Glad to hear that your husband is doing well from his knee operation.

How wonderful that you are planning a trip to Quebec with your daughters. I use to take the train many year ago, when I was growing up to visit my Aunts & Uncles in Boston, Massachusetts. I have great memories of those train rides.
June 10th is coming up soon. Don't forget your camera so you can take pictures of Quebec.

Sending my best to all "Chat readers".

Phyllis

Thanks Phyllis!

No break for us right now. We have our long break in December/January. Our next holidays are July.

It's been getting colder here. Last night I got up and laid my dressing gown over the top of my blankets (mainly because I was too lazy to walk into the dining room and hit the on switch on the heater). Having a cat that loves to snuggle under the covers helps to keep me warm too while dh is away.

That sounds lovely for you co-worker. I can't imagine working anywhere (except home maybe) for 17 years. Wow!

Kylie
