pouring a glass of water with 1/4 cup of vinegar added over the hair after shampooing is a good preventative for nits. Some years ago we took 2 granddaughters "cousins to each other-not sisters"to a fancy restaurant with us..one was a bit taller than the other-one says in a loud voice"Grandma-Tammy has animals crawling in her hair-little tiny ones"
We made a hasty retreat and a trip to the drug store for a treatment. Her poor mom nearly had a fit..but children in school rarely escape at least one escapade with nits-lol
