Subject: Tracks in the sand..
In the morning while the air is calm,
The dogs and I go walking.
I love to look upon the ground, and hear the tracks there talking!
The fine squiggly furrows, along the sand
were legless lizards hunting prey-
let's go a little further now,
what has this to say?
early morning visitors- a pigeon's fat foot tracks,
he's been munching "pop" saltbush seeds, bet they made a crack!
A kangaroo's slender track, her hind feet, paws and tail
she must have then been grazing- to leave a leisurely long trail.
now, here's a find, a little mound, of earth still moist and red-
It's scorpion's work- he's spent the night in cleaning out his bed!
A cat's been here along the road-padding soft and wary
The rabbits would have been alert-hunting cats are scary.
Here's where the old man euro grazed, on a roadside couch grass patch-
his feet are wider than a kangaroo, and hairier- no match!
I love to read the sandy book of goings- on at night-
It makes me grateful for the gifts of curiosity and sight!

L-o-v-e- it !!!!! Can just picture it...I always say when my dogs are sniffing the bushes on our walks that they are reading their newspaper.
Poor little tykes..their walks are so short now.Next week will be worse-I start chemo.
I may be on a world wide study with an advanced experimental "cure" along with the regular treatment. If I get on it I will tell you more later.Actually they will not know if it is helping anyone untill at least 4 years down the line.I signed my concent but 4 panels of people-here and abroad have to approve by my blood and other tests-wether yes I am the type of person this may help

Drink lots of fruit juice, play soothing music... know we're thinking of you! Good luck, Tina.

A euro is also a Wallaroo, or Macropus Robustus- a cousin of the Kamgaroo. They are very stocky, and have bigger ears and longer fur- steely blue for girls, steel and russet for the boys! Gorgeous creatures...our old resident male, "Currency" survived the drought by systematically devouring my garden!!
