Oh Ellie..my heart goes out to you!!! My 7 Children all live in an 18 mile radious of home..thank God..one granddaughter is in Ottawa - three provinces away-I miss her even though we e-mail every second day and her sister is only 60 miles away but I miss her so much.I know everyone has to make their place in life but I like the cozy feel of having them all around me.
I have 2 friends who moved thousands of miles to be away from their families..I just can't understand that. They say they didn't want to be caught up in babysitting..and here I feel so badly because when I was working I couldn't spend that time with mine-just week-ends and some evenings.
I guess my maternal instinct is just too strong!
Hope it turns out that your family doesn't move.Hugs..Tina

Tina, how lovely to have nearly all your family so close! I think Iwas born at the wrong time.. should have been born when life was little country villages and everyone including children stayed around- but that's life, and I do feel a little more cheerful today.
Ellie.
