It's hard, I know. Just give your daughter and her husband a gentle reminder that they went to Tassie in the summer/autumn and what it must be like in winter down there (LOL).
My Mum has the same problem (she's 83) with both children, myself and my sister living away from Adelaide. Wasn't so bad for her when my Dad was alive, but a different matter now she's on her own.
When Leigh (son) left home (only child) I missed him so much, but at least Adelaide is closer.
Problem being we want our children to be independent, but wouldn't it be so much better if they were independent closer to home? Bit ironic really.
Leigh is now talking of going overseas when he is qualified and I have totally decided to put that one to the back of my mind and not think about it.
Hope it all works out okay and just a fleeting idea which amounts to nothing.
