Not feeling so gloomy! My daughter visited yesterday.. Yeah, they love Tassie, and Yeah.. they are thinking of moving there.. but now not in the immediate future.. so if they do it will give me a time to get to used to the thought LOL! She brought me over my belated birthday pressies a tiny brooch of a Tas.tiger and a beautiful silk scarf in sea shades of blue/green/purple.. I'm lucky!

Ellie, I'm sure that's how Garry's Mum feels as both he and his brother live in Sydney and she's at Dubbo. I know she was terribly upset when she found out we were moving up here. I don't suppose it really struck us how much it affected our parents until my MIL lost her three closest friends in the last two years. It is very hard when you're not close enough to give a hug.

But, I'm trying to convince both sets of parents that they need the internet so that we can talk more regularly (cheaper than a phone call). You at least have the benefit of being computer literate so you can pop out an email any time you wish rather than being confined to the times when there are cheaper call rates.

I'm glad to hear that it's not going to be a sudden change, but rather something that you're going to have more time to get used to. Big hugs though to help take away the loneliness.

Kylie
