Subject: Margaret

Tommy kept falling over this morning so I took her to the vets again. He wanted to give her Remaldy but I objected so he asked if he could take some blood to check her liver and kidneys before making the decision, which I agreed to of course.

When the tests were done, it was discovered that she had serious kidney failure, which her condition had disguised. She is still there and will be for a couple of days on a drip, followed by more blood to see if there is an improvement and how much.

I telephoned to see how she was before going into see Bill and tell him. She has perked up and wolfed her tea down, so they seem to think that she will have a chance.

I will keep phoning to see how she is, but I don't think I could go and see her, I would probably bring her home, and I don't think it would be fair to her to see me then leave her again.

Margaret, I'm really sorry about Tommy and hope she continues to improve. Yes, the decision about whether to visit them at the vet's is a very personal one and it's a hard one to make. Anyway, sending the best thoughts your way. I hope Bill is feeling much better as well. Hopefully Bill and Tommy will be feeling a lot better soon.

(((Margaret)))

I hope Tommy continues improving. Could you maybe pop into the vets with a blanket from home or something, just to have them put it in with her if you don't feel going in to see her would be good?

How is Bill doing now?

And how are you holding up?

Kylie
