Subject: re Weather and Things..

Tina, will be thinking of you when you go for your check-up, and my thoughts for you are winging your way, that everything is going well. Lovely that your daughters (2) are going with you. Congratulations too for your beautiful grandaughters up coming wedding.Love to hear about it aftewards!
Weather here is still wintery, last few days have been very windy, gusty gale force.. Sept begins our Spring.
I got my day out with my friend Ruth on Monday, and we had a great time. We drove up into the Dandenongs, our closest mountain range. Everthing still winter bare, but beautiful. We had Devonshire tea, hot scones, raspberry jam and cream at a lovely cafe, then went to visit the William Rickett's Sanctuary.. This is a sanctuary created by a famous Sculptor William Ricketts.. he did beautiful rock carvings of our indigenous, aboriginal people, and they're all set in a forest of towering green tree ferns, just beautiful, green and peaceful.
My second son in Sydney has had an awful flu, there is so much of it around here just now.
I'm busy with rehearsals for a play that is being performed in Oct. Fun, but hectic!
Phyliss, hope all is well with you.missing your messages!
Ellie.

Really hope your son is feeling better.I dread flu season.
So glad you had chance to meet with your friend, lunch sounds great, and aah the carvings must be spectacular!
Here we have different races of Indians,,not from India, the origional people have many different tribe names, and up north the Inuits, you have your aborigionals..I find all so equally interesting, their looks, arts, ways of living, survival and food preporations.
Oh my how great..Spring starting for you, our summer seems so short we had a cool rainy June so we all feel like we lost a month of summer right there-lol
My check-up wasn't so good, my cancer may be back & I won't know for sure until August 28..different scan scheduled.Blood test was not too good, If it is back then I will have to go through the chemo treatments again but I don't know if my body can fight it a third time.Something in my mind tells me I may loose this battle.Oh well I have been prepared for almost 4 years now..origional operation will be 4 years in October.Remember then they said 7 to 9 months so I have almost 4 yrs extra time in-lol
Enought about me..I must scram to bed now..all the best!!!

Hi Ellie,

I have not been on this site for a while as my right wrist has been bothering me again and I am wearing a brace.

I hope your son is feeling better. It is hard to imagine you are in the winter months right now. We have beautiful weather this week with low humidity.

I am glad that you had such a great time with your friend, Ruth. Your description of your outing was lovely.

Best wishes,
Phyllis
