Subject: so much to do...

My old school chum is home from Vancover , British Columbia once again, we went for our traditional chinese food feast and then I drove her to a beautiful beach where we sat and reminiced , we will be going to other things before she goes home.
I plan on going to the big Fair near the city this week-end,Sadly have to go to a funeral tomorrow, my husbands niece 47 yrs old died suddenly at 3 am Tues morning of high blood pressure, never was ill that she or anyone knew of so it was a real shock, her father is just recovering from having his stomache removed because of cancer.
Cynthia,Darlene , Zoe and i and a friend plus my puppy are planning a driving trip to Cape Breton for 3 days.
I have my chemo again on the 12th, we plan on going Oct. 21st so I should be over the ravages of that chemo by then.
The chemo I am getting now is for "pallative care" meaning there is no cure, just a treatment to improve my quality of life until that too fails to help so I want to keep on making the best of each day until that time comes.I could have as much as a year . Mentally I will aim for that year.
I get one more invasive chemo then a scan, if the chemo is slowing the cancer growth they will give me some more treatments,if it is not slowing the growth they will stop treatment and leave things to nature and God.
My poor puppy is not a happy camper, he was neutered day before yesterday, he has to wear a big plastic cone collar so that he cannot lick where he was stitched, he is feeling very sorry for himself and my heart goes out to him.
We are supposed to have sunny days for the next 4 days,we had some rain through the night so that will continue to let everything stay nice and green.
Ellie I could just picture your cat sleeping and snoring-lol
All the best to you ladies!

Hi Gals,

Tina, I read your e-mail yesterday and had typed up a reply and somehow lost it so I am trying again.

I am glad that your high school pal came for a visit and you were able to spend time at the beach. It is always so much fun reminicing about the old times. One of my best high school friends,is the one that watches my granddaughter on the days that I do not. She use to run a nursey school but too many regulations now, so she just watches a couple of children. She only watches them up to age 3.

I am hoping that you will continue to feel well and continue to improve. As you know, doctors are not always
right when it comes to timeframes. There is a neighbor who they placed in Hospice house, now they need to send her for rehabilitation as she not longer meets their definition to remain there.

All those who know you are pulling for you. You have such a wonderful family and friends who care about you.

I am sure that you will enjoy your upcoming trip.

I know how your poor dog feels as Rufus used to hate his collar with a passion. He would bump into everything including chairs, furniture and household items. He had major ear surgery, so he had to wear a collar for several weeks. I was working at the time so I had no choice but to leave it on when I was at work. When I came home and could watch him I did.

Sending my hugs.
Phyllis
