Subject: Happy New Year

Wishing you the best year ever with all your dreams coming true!
I had a nice Christmas ,thanks to my family, I had 5 days of the chemo affecting me the worst ever. But was able to enjoy my family even though I could not get out visiting, they were all here "children and grandchildren"on Christmas eve day and Christmas eve night, some in the afternoon and the rest in the evening, next day Kevin drove Ralston & I to Cynthias where 14 of us ate dinner.I couldn't drive my car until Friday. We had a very delicious dinner, we came home at 4 pm , I went to bed for a nap but the nap lasted until 7 am the next morning.
Received lots of lovely gifts, books, magazine subscriptions, real warm coat, pillows that feel like sleeping on clouds, chocolates, coffees, set of pots, dust buster, big cans of cookies, cute doorstep wooden reindeer, iron elephant for my collection, photo album & a goodie box full of juices, maple syrup, maple butter,scissors,2 books, cnavasses for painting , paint tubes, acrylic spray coating, paint tray. Sure is a lot of things , but all very useful, ooh and a very large container of all home made cookies, and was thrilled to get an Australian calender from Belinda , dodo, and some post cards of her beautiful photography, she is an amazing person.I was totally surprised and pleasantly so.
Tonight, now that I am feeling better I am accepting the invitation from my neighbors and going to their house, new years party, have gone there last 6 years and always enjoyed myself, they have musicians, some country, some classic, lots of goodies to eat, fireworks.
No mere chemo until after a scan in February, my body has to have a rest, they will plan their next medical decisions after my scan.
pretty outside right now with lots of new snow !
Once again best wishes for a great 2008 !

Happy New Year! Tina & Ellie and all your love ones too.

Tina, You have been very busy celebrating with your family and friends. What a great selection of gifts. Is dodo, the person who use to write on this site?

Ellie, I hope you and your famly are having a wonderful celebration of the holidays too.

We have had more than our share of snow and we are expecting another storm tomorrow afternoon. We have had 44 l/2 inches for the month of December here in our town. I must admit, that it is beautiful outside with all the fresh fallen white snow even though traveling in it is not the best.

I too enjoyed Christmas with my family and received telephone calls from my sons and their wives.

Kaitlyn had so much fun opening presents and watching others open their presents. Now that I have a new computer, I can play DVD's on it. My friend Nancy bought me a collector's edition of Elvis Presley. I also received new sneakers, hooded sweatshirt a lovely shade of light blue, a nightgown, homemade cookies, box of delicious Christmas chocolates, large recent photos of my granddaughters from Florida, a CD of the girls Christmas singing at their pre-school and kindergarten with their class (which I can play of my new computer) , calendar of Colorado, Historial Society jersey with an old fashion picture of a child in a sleigh taken in the year of 1890, but best of all was spending time with my family here in the area.

Wishing all the best in the coming year.

Phyllis

Hi Tina and Phyliss. Sorry I've been slow catching up again, already Jan 5th--Help! My main reason (apart from family stuff) is that it has been so unbelievably, scorchingly hot here that I just haven't had the energy to do anything but the bare basics. To use my computer much is just TOO hot. However, the time was good, with the Sydney family down.. saw my 2 lovely little grandsons, and their paretns, had a party for other sons little girls 2nd birhday, spent a family day out together visiting a community farm, pony rides for the children etc.
Last night I went out to another family dinner at a (very lush) Chinese restaurant..
So it was lovely that you both has a great family time, and great gifts. I didn't do too badly either, received a $50 gift card for a book store, and another $30 one from work, also got perfume, talc, a lovely rock crystal, scarf, bag. Funnily enough this year I received no chocolates or cookies. That can only be good for the waistline!
Well, gals, it's late now and I'm going to try and sleep. but still very hot inside.
Wishing you all your loved ones a great 008.
Ellie.
