Hi Tina & Ellie,

Yes, we will be celebrating with local fireworks here in town for the 4th. My younger sister's birthday is also on July 4th, so we will have a birthday party for her. She is recovering from having her thyroid removed. It will be 3 weeks on Thursday since her surgery.

I am rescheduled for cataract surgery in the middle of July.
I had to postponed the original date because I came down with a cold and ended up having redness in my eyes. I had to put drops in every 2 hours. I have a follow up visit on Thursday to recheck the eyes. I planned to do this surgery while daughter is on maternity leave so she would not have to miss time from work once she goes back in August. She saved all her vacation time so she could have a longer leave.

Ashley (new baby) likes to be held a lot and is growing. She is one month old today. She has such a beautiful round face with large blue eyes. Kaitlyn is starting full time at preschool tomorrow. They had an opening and my daughter was first on the list so she decided to accept it. Child care is very expensive. I plan on watching Ashley 3 days a week and my high school friend, Susan will do 2 days. I will substitue for her when necessary.

I will keep you posted on my eye surgery.

Ellie, how is your weather? We have had many rainy days in a row, today it is nice, humid and sunny. I will not complain as it is nice to see the sun.

Michael is still working on some outside house projects, that need to be done.

Sending my best to both of you.

Phyllis
