Subject: No Ice Storms Here!

Hello Ladies. My brother has written of all the snow they're getting in Kingston, OntHe had just finished clearing the end of his driveway when the snow plough came along and shovelled it all up onto the driveway again!
So far the weather here has been cool, mild, not really hot yet, but a lot more summer to go! We did get some really good rain about a week ago, my potplants on the balcony almost drowned! I've been caught up in pre Xmas activities, which has been very nice, but tiring. They have included our writing group break-up party, the council arts and culture Xmas party, the Span )community house) 30th birthday celebration, and lunch with frends at 'Lentils" a vegetarian cafe in a beautiful park/garden setting. Not quite finished yet, a few more things to go.
Tina, I hope you will be feeling well enough to enjoy Xmas, I will write again before then, and will look forward to hearing Xmas news from you both.
Hugs,
Ellie.

Hi Ellie & Tina,

It was good to hear from you Ellie. Sounds like you are very busy with all your activities and preparing for Christmas.

My daughter has Christmas week off as there is no preschool. This will be good for me as I will be preparing Christmas dinner for my family in New Hampshire.

We are dealing with several snowstorms. We had one yesterday (6-10 inches) and are expecting more snow and freezing rain on Sunday into Monday morning.

There are 28,000 New Hampshire homes and businesses in their eighth day without power due to our last ice storm.

Tina, I hope you do not get all this snow that we are having.

I must admit it is so pretty to look out the window and see the snow.

I wish you both and your love ones a Merry Christmas and a Happy, healthy New Year.

Fondly,
Phyllis

Wishing you both a very wonderful Christmas and a wonderful, wonderful new year
