Subject: off to the city
Just thought I would let you ladies know that I am off to the city this morning for the dreaded caelyx chemo, the devil amongst chemos. At least it is not snowing today-tomorrow is suposed to be a bad day.
Phyllis I hope you were not in the area where the power has been out for so long.
Last weeks ice storm caused many car accidents but thankfully no one was killed.
My neighbor bought Ralston a big plate of turkey dinner, enough for yesterday and today so he won't go hungry while I am gone.I am still on a liquid diet.
My dinners come from the drugstore-lol Strawberry boost and ensure do not taste bad but I am still left with that hungry feeling.
I must scram, didn't mean to write all about me,but it just came out.lol

Dear Tina,
My thoughts are with you today.
It is good that your husband will be set with his meal and that your neighbor was so thoughtful.
We will be getting more snow tomorrow. It has been a tough winter so far this year. Thankfully, our power seems to be alright in our area at this time.
I did have to hire someone to clean off my roofs because I was afraid it was building up.
Take care.
Hugs,
Phyllis

Thank goodness my trip was yesterday-a really big snowstorm started in the night-all schools closed, even malls closed, roads not fit to be on.Schools closed 2 days actually,Tues and Wednesday.
I am feeling weak from chemo, from liquid diet, from not sleeping..been making milk shakes, smoothies, dringing boost, ensure, five alive but nothing is satisfies like solid food.It makes me think of the poor starving people in the world who don't even get what I do.I can't imagine how they cope. It irks me terribly that africa,India and all those places have rich, rich people who never ever pity their own or share their wealth ,other countries have to do that.
