Hi Ellie & Tina,

I was glad to read your recent posting and that all is well with you Ellie. It is so much fun to celebrate a grandchild's birthday.

I hope Tina you and your family are fine.

Both my granddaughters were sick, one with a virus and one had a perforated ear drum, so I did extra child care for the week. They are both doing much better.

There is no preschool this week, so my daughter took a planned vacation this week to be home with the girls. I am still going over every day to visit and we are planning some fun activities. There is a puppet show at the library and weather permitting we will go to the park. Also I watched the baby today as it was raining very heavy outside so my daughter took Kaitlyn to Kaleidoscope (young children's play center) for a couple of hours. She said it was packed with children due to school vacation and rainy weather.

We celebrated 2 Easter holidays, as the Eastern Orthodox one was one week after the traditional Easter day. I went out for dinner with my youngest sister's family. Then on our Orthodox Easter day, I had dinner for family here in the area.

I also was very happy as my son from Florida came for a quick visit (one day and a half) but nevertheless it was wonderful to see him in person. Our family last saw him at my younger son's wedding in Octobter 2007.

I wish you both good weather and send my best.

Phyllis

forgive my being lazy and not getting around to writing but I have taken advantage of every short trip offered to me.I have been going on day trips, so nice to get out and away from winter doldrums, spring is here but still cool enough to wear coats but the buds are coming on the trees and the grass finally is turning green this week. We had lots of rain.I hired a man to clean the yard this year, there were so many limbs and lots of dead leaves to clean up.
Had a wonderful Easter, we all went to Cynthias ,my youngest daughters , everyone took something different towards themeal, Oldest daughters cake was the main hit.orange crystal angel or something like that was the name of it.Oh sooo good. The Easter egg hunt was so much fun.
The 2 weeks of music festivals start next week and youngest granddaughter is in several of the events so I hope to stay feeling well to go to those.Sunday afternoon Cynthia, zoe and I meeting the city cousins and we are all going to a special movie there. We will all go to lunch after the movie, it will be nice to spend time with my city working grandchildren.
Hope your grandchildren are well now Phyllis and Ellie I was surprised that a whole year has gone by already since Rory was born. Grandchildren are such a joy.
I must scram and make today a day to catch up on what I didn't do around the house this week.
Happy Spring Phyllis and Happy autumn to you Ellie.
