Subject: For that matter, when did Miss NC start expecting everything during her year to be free? When did she get so entitled that she shouldn't have to pay for anything? Every gown, every earring, every outfit for every appearance? On loan to her or given to her by some store? NO! Enough of the bullshit. Stop taking advantage of the sponsors. And let's not even get startted on the business manager thinking she should get freebies during the year too. God almighty. What is wrong with this organization? Let these stores start booking and paying professional models to shill for their stores and they will see what a bargain they are getting. Plus, since most of these gown stores do a big business in pageant wear, they are getting the extra cache of the Miss NC title that not even a professional model could bring. And yes, these girls work long and hard to win the Miss NC title. There should definitely be benefits to winning the crown. There should be a car, apartment, and appearance fees. That's why you enter a competition. Because there are prizes for the winner. That's the very point of a competition.
