Denny, I have a variety of reasons for wanting to live elsewhere, the main one being the cost of living in this town. The mayor wants to turn it into a resort/vacation town with the dependant services. She would really like to kick the Navy out too, she has stated in the past San Diego would be Just Fine without the local military... The taxes have chased most heavy industries into other states or across the border into Maquiladora factories. There is only one aerospace company left in town. Now we do bio-stuff, lots of service industry supporting tourists. Just can't wait to get my job slinging hash and being polite for the Normal family from Indiana.

My balcony has dry rot, some weird wood deterioration, and termites soooooo bad the top layers of wood are caving down into the tunnels underneath. We have been fighting with the HOA for many years on whose responsibility it was to fix or maintain the balconies. They have finally relented to the fact it was written into the CCR's 25 years ago that all exterior bits are their baliwick. The catch is, we have to submit in writing that it needs work, they will put us on a list, and will send the inspector round when convenient for him. There can be nothing on the balcony when he comes for his inspection.

I suspect this will mean changes for the four two story bougainvilla bushes also, most likely on our dime, or sweat equity.

MHB would be Might Have Beens, the doldrum things that strike me late at night... if I had stayed in college, married sooner, or not at all.
