I cannot vouch for the credibility of the New Mexico State order below; their pictures are the hardest to find, and their order is likely the most in doubt with the constantly changing right sides of their design.

Notre Dame: 11/17 Shamrock Series helmet was a navy blue shell, circular logo with pinstripes and blue “ND” logo, no stripe, navy blue mask; all twelve other games were normal
Army West Point: AAA-CAA-AAC-AAK-A [K=“C” with a Big Red One insignia in front]
Brigham Young: all thirteen games were normal
Liberty: GGD-DGG-HGD-CID [G=“D” with a white shell; H=“C” with a red “’71” on the left side only (to reflect the year of the school’s founding); I=white shell, patriotic camouflage “LU”, no stripe, blue mask]
Massachusetts: HHI-HHH-JHI-HHH [H=“F” with maroon and white parts reversed in logo; I=https://s3.amazonaws.com/sidearm.sites/umassathletics.com/images/2018/9/8/UMaa.jpg “B” with maroon and white parts reversed in logo; J=https://umassathletics.com/galleries/?gallery=4164 “B” with the “1993-2002” logo]
New Mexico State: EEF-[E1][C4][C2]-[C2][C5][C1]-[C6][C6][C6] [E=https://nmstatesports.com/common/controls/image_handler.aspx?thumb_prefix=rp_primary&image_path=/images/2018/8/30/IMG_5615.JPG for the left side & https://nmstatesports.com/common/controls/image_handler.aspx?thumb_prefix=rp_primary&image_path=/images/2018/8/26/012.jpg for the right side burgundy shell, mirror grey numerals on left, mirror grey crossed guns from “C3” on right, stripe of “A”, white mask; F=https://nmstatesports.com/common/controls/image_handler.aspx?thumb_prefix=rp_primary&image_path=/images/2018/9/8/IMG_5761.JPG “C” with a white tapered stripe (right side unknown); E1=https://nmstatesports.com/common/controls/image_handler.aspx?thumb_prefix=rp_primary&image_path=/images/2018/9/16/014_56.jpg “E” with the right side of “C4”; C5=https://nmstatesports.com/common/controls/image_handler.aspx?thumb_prefix=rp_primary&image_path=/images/2018/10/20/Jason_Huntley_Georgia_Southern_TS18_1.jpg “C” with an unknown white logo on right; C6=https://nmstatesports.com/common/controls/image_handler.aspx?thumb_prefix=rp_primary&image_path=/images/2018/11/3/1103_NMSU_v_ALCORN_7.jpg “C2” with a patriotic pattern in the bandanna]

Speaking of constant changes, asymmetrical designs continue to torment us. One would think the ugly aesthetics would die down, but the teams that continue to employ that design faux pas seem to double down on them. There’s a reason that the Steelers should be the only team that should do them, and it is not employed by the majority of football teams at all levels.

For the first time in a while, there will be no new conference realignments in the FBS. 2019 will mark the 150th anniversary of college football (for everyone except Harvard at least). It would be nice to see “150” decals in the same way as the “100” football decals from 1969, but with the way college athletics branding works now, it might be relegated to the back of the helmet at best. Hopefully at least Rutgers and Princeton can commemorate this landmark year with a new design, but as for the others, who knows?

In the future, I may not be able to post weekly updates, both to avoid cluttering the board and due to limited time, but I will continue to keep track of the FBS and write up a summary post for all teams at the end of the season, hopefully this time within the week of the National Championship game.
