assuming they could spin-off a football conference similar to the Gateway (i.e. some football only members):

Cal Poly
Northern Colorado
Davis
St. Mary's
SUU
Sac State

Unless Sacramento State wants to change conferences, this probably won't work. Wouldn't they need a minimum of six to be considered for an automatic playoff bid? I doubt most Big West schools want to get back into football.
