That's an interesting theory. I'm wary of making an evil baby, though, even if it is twins. I'm just hoping for a good baby, possibly human. I'm also thinking that this could be Darla's second chance at finding hope again, since she seemd to have lost a great deal of it from Reunion to Epiphany.

I also think that the baby is Angel's shansu. That meaning of shansu is way more interesting than "oh! Angel becomes human!" That just means that the audience already knows the ending and there is nothing to look forward to. Besides, the shansu meaning turning Angel into a human just makes it look like he's just marking time on Earth fighting battles until he becomes human. With the baby, he has something concrete to fight for? After all, fighting the good fight means thinking of the future. What better way to think of the future than by fighting for the life and happiness of a baby?

Aside from how the baby affects Angel, I'm wondering about darla. In the Quickening pics, it looks like pregnancy is taking a lot out of her. Some people have attributed it to the unnatrual state of her pregnancy, but I'm thinking, what if it's just a normal first-time pregnancy and darla's just having a rough time of it. Not all women go through pregnancy all glowing and healthy. For some, being pregnant tires them out and makes them look a bit sick. For others, beign pregnant is the best time of their life.

A question to throw out here: Do you think Darla will make an okay mom if she lives beyond the birth?
