Amongst the presentations, news that Mandy Moore would voice Rapunzel and that Timothy Dalton had joined the cast of Toy Story 3, and the first half-hour of The Princess and the Frog. But the tastiest treat was the announcement of a brand-new Walt Disney animated film -- a fresh take on AA Milne's classic Winnie the Pooh based on five of the author's original stories. The announcement, Lasseter said, marked the first time in more than 35 years that a feature film starring the characters has been produced at Disney. In addition to showing classic clips of the original film, Lasseter played a video showcasing new artwork, while directors Steve Anderson and Don Hall talked about their vision for the movie. The art was much in the classic style of Winnie the Pooh and the creative team, including producer Clark Spencer, discussed plans to honour Disney's classic animations, the spirit of AA Milne's stories and the world of the Hundred Acre Wood. Throughout Lasseter stressed that the new film wouldn't just appeal to small kids and their parents, but rather would offer an entertaining adventure for the whole family. Lasseter also spoke of how Burny Mattinson, one of the few animators still working to have worked with Walt Disney himself, had brought his experience to bear on the project. Mattinson worked as an animator on the original Winnie the Pooh and the Honey Tree featurette in 1964 and will serve as lead story artist on the new film. I am just so ecstatic!! Ever since the Disney Catalog retired there's been a huge decline in bean bags on their site, heck up until now they had one or two if you were lucky. Then as I often do, I look around to see if they have anything new, and lo and behold they have them back and with their own section to boot! I wonder if I had any part of it. See, I was emailing feedback on a regular basis asking nicely if they could bring them back and now they have!

A dream come true. I'm a huge fan of Disney beanies and since I don't have a Disney Store anywhere near me it's been rather disheartening not being able to collect them. True, I have eBay - and it's good - but they often go up in price at least here it's kind of a guarantee. And they have all the current ones. $6.50 a beanie, reminds me when they were first released! ;) For new ones, eBay never has them that low, or if they do people bid and make it go crazy up.

Of the selection thus far, I like the Birthday Eeyore and the Mother's day Pooh. Can't wait for them to get more and especially come fall when they hopefully get Princess and the Frog beanies! :)

I only hear once in a great while from some collectors I remember when there where at a couple of dozen of us collectors out there. We even had a place where we could talk live to each other once a week. It seems the Disney has also cut way back I guess it is because of the crazy pins.... This year Disney didn't come out with any new mini beans for the Flower and Garden Show, Star Wars, etc. The Halloween ones are mini plush. The Disney store is still have a few come out, but there not the same as they once where. I have seen many collections going up on Ebay and I feel a little sad sometimes.... I would like to thank Nancy and her boards that I have been on from the begining and all the great collectors that I have met here. I will keep collecting and sending Nancy the pics of new ones. The Halloween Mickey and Minnie are small plush (no beans) Witch Minnie and Dracula Mickey (no fangs). They are very well made. On the 25th of this month The Disney Store release there Halloween "Black Cat" Pooh, Eeyore and Stitch. There cute but still have old company tags. I wish Disney would start bring in the new one's. She has a purple wand with a pink star at the top of it, she is also holding a small purple bag with a tooth on it. I think the child is to put there tooth in it so the Tooth Fairy will find it. Then there's 2 different Birthday Dalmations we have Patch with a yellow party hat on and one paw on top of a red present. Then there is Penny with a purple party hat and holding on to a purple present the hat and present fabric match. There is also 2 Stitchs. One is call Cook Stitch he is in a white uniform and chef's hat red scarf around his neck and holding a big spoon. The second on is Mechanic Stitch, he has on a blue jumpsuit with a Stitch name tag on it, he is also holding a wrench in his hand. Thene there is Mail Man Pooh he has on a blue suit and hat (with a bee on it) He's holding a letter in one hand and a mail bag over his other shoulder. Fireman Eeyore has a red fireman's hat with the number 1 on the front. and has on black and yellow boots on. Teacher Minnie has on a pink and purple dress with matching bow. She is holding an apple in one hand and a Math book in the other. Last put not least is Cab Driver Mickey, He's dressed a a yellow shirt with black pants. He waistband is a checkered black and white. He also has a yellow cap with taxi on the front. They all still say Loop Retail Stores on there tush tags. There hang tags say they are a "Disney Store Exclusive" Have a wonderful Disney Day........ Hi I was just wondering if anyone has seen a christmas tree eeyore on ebay in the last couple of months. I'm just trying to figure out what he is worth now, I only collect Mickey beanies but somehow ended up with him, instead of the Chicago blues Mickey that I wanted, long story. Anyways thinking about selling him but have no idea if he's worth anything anymore. I know at one time him and chicago blues Mickey were rare, but anymore I don't know what any of them are going for.

Graduation beans are hitting the store now.

There is a Graduation Mickey with a purple cap with 2008 on the front of it, the tassle is gold, he also has on purple shorts and purple shoes? He is holding a rolled up diploma in his hands with Class of 2008 on it and a purple ribbon tied around it.

Then there is a Graduation Pooh with a melon color cap with 2008 on the front of it, the tassle is gold, he also has on melon color shirt. He is holding a rolled up diploma in his hands with Class of 2008 on it and a melon color ribbon tied around it.

Graduation Eeyore with a yellow cap with 2008 on the front of it, the tassle is gold, he also has on yellow bow on his tail. He is holding a rolled up diploma in his hands with Class of 2008 on it and a yellow ribbon tied around it.

Lat but not least is Graduation Dalmatian with a teal color cap with 2008 on the front of it, the tassle is gold, he has on teal color collar. He is holding a rolled up diploma in his hands with Class of 2008 on it and a teal color ribbon tied around it.

I have to share this one with everyone. There is a basket (dog bed) of 14 small plush dalmations. The basket is lined with red, and the basket is like a woven wicker and is black. It measures about 18" front to back and 22" from side to side. All the dogs have collars red or blue but only 5 have names on them Lucky, Penny, Pepper, Rolly and Freckles. The hang tag is circle 6" round with fuzzy dalmation print on it. Here is the kicker it sells for $49.50, but there was a plush sale on it so I got 15% off...

Author: Mark [Edit]	Date Posted: 11:50:21 02/07/08 Thu I will start with Diner Daisy she is dress in a pink waitress outfit trimmed in teal. She has on a white waist apron, with teal trim. She has her name "Daisy" embroider on the uniform. I think this is one of the best that the Disney Store has come out with in a while. Policeman Donald is in a blue shirt with a gold star on it, he also has on a blue policeman hat. I think he would have been a little better with pants on..LOL... Stitch is making a Pizza Deliver to your home, he's wearing a red ballcap and has on a red vest, he's also hold a pizza in his hands. The there is a birthday present Stitch, he is inside a orange box with blue ribbon on it. Then Lucky Fireman. He has on a red firemans hat with 101 embroider on a gold background on the front of it. There is a new Birthday Mickey holding 2 balloons one is in the shape of Mickey's head and the other is in th shape of a star with "Happy Birthday" on it. Then there is a set of four "Musical" (but the don't play music) Pooh and Company. They are dressed like minstrels from Robin Hood. Pooh is playing a horn, Eeyore a tambourine, Tigger a violin, and Piglet a accordion. Then from Cinderella we have Suzy, Jaq and Gus and also Lucifer (love his look) with wreathes of flowers on there heads form the new line "Spring Fair". Just a note none of my store got the Valentine's Day beans, but one of my friends got them for me. I hope this dosn't happen with the Easter beans..... Disneyland just released there Easter Bunnies Mickey and Minnie.

Mickey is in a light blue bunny suit with an Easter egg on the front of it. He also has a gold bow tie on.

Minnie is in a pink bunny suit with an Easter egg on it to!

Both have the Happy Easter Disneyland 2008 on there foot.

Also like the Halloween bean balls, there is an St. Patrick's day Mickey all green and a Bunny Micky mostly purple.

store.

There is Thumper with blue ears over his grey one????
He is holding a purple basket with white dots and a blue egg in it.

Marie has pink bunny ears and a purple basket with white dots and a white bunny in the basket.

Stitch has lime green ears, purple basket, white dots and a duck in his basket.

Pooh has light blue ears, purple basket, white dots and an egg in his basket.

Eeyore has orange ears, purple basket, white dits and a white bunny in his basket.

Tigger has purple ears, purple basket with white dots, and a little chick in his basket.

There are some new beans at the Disney Store there are 2 new Christmas one's Mickey and Minnie dressed in red and gold winter clothing both have a cream scarf and gold stands in it. There is also a Baby's First Christmas Dumbo in a cream color suit with Baby's 1st in gold and silver in the front. These 3 have speical hag tags made of plastic with Mickey and Minnie on them. Also there is what I would call a Christmas Pooh and Eeyore. They both are holding a silver star in there right hand. On there tush tags they are called PH07 JNTD & EE07 JNTD. I think that would stand Pooh 2007 Jointed and Eeyore because they have small buttons where they arms and legs join there body's. There hang tags are the regular one's not like the Christmas one. Dose anyone else have any news from Paris, Hong Kong, Janpan etc. about anymore new beans? The UK has alot of new ones on there online store. Have a wonderful Disney Day.......... The Walt Disney Company will make its popular Toontown MMORPG ad-supported later this year, and will offer movie downloads in conjunction with Microsoft.

As someone who has made several trips to Disney's theme parks, I'm one of many people who can attest to the company's dedication to prying money from people's wallets while entertaining them. Disney doesn't do anything if they don't see a clear path to a payday.

The latest announcement of Disney teaming with Microsoft to offer movie rentals on demand isn't too surprising. Disney has been standing cheerfully with Apple's Steve Jobs both before and after buying his Pixar movie studios, and Disney content abounds on iTunes, so they aren't strangers to the downloadable concept.

Disney's new deal places an on-demand option on the Xbox Live Marketplace for Xbox 360 gamers. Disney movies and ABC television choices, in standard and high-definition formats, have become available. Microsoft and Disney disclosed this at the E3 Media & Business Summit.

This makes the Xbox 360 a little more family-friendly, as the gaming console has never been known as being oriented toward the younger market. The option to bring in a Disney movie on the Xbox 360 might make it more acceptable to parents who would probably not choose to buy one otherwise.

It is an important partnership due to Disney's famed control over its content, especially the animated features. Disney isn't going to risk losing money on them no matter how long ago the movies were released.

That brings us to Toontown, Disney's multiplayer online game with some 17.5 million characters running around its colorful streets (many people create more than one toon, and can have up to six per account). Mediaweek disclosed Disney would shift the game from a subscription model to ad-supported sometime this fall.

Some players have been trying out the ad-supported version in beta since May. Disney charges a $9.95 per month subscription, with people willingly paying for it.

At first glance it's tempting to compare the shift to AOL's change from subscription to advertising as a revenue model. AOL had been hemorrhaging subscribers and needed to make a dramatic change. Disney isn't under that same pressure.

The financial outlook for Toontown under an ad model must be really impressive. Saying that Disney doesn't like to give things away is like suggesting your fingertips may redden slightly upon touching the surface of the Sun.

Does anyone know the name of the monkey? From what I can find out is his name is also Jack. Also got the Marathon one's one is Goofy and the 1/2 marathon is Donald. They have graduation Mickey in a red robe.
Graduation Dalmatian holding a big dog bone with Class of 2007 on it, There is also a Pooh holding a hunny pot with Class of 2007 on it they have mortor boards on too.
They also have what they are calling scented flower's Pooh, Eeyore and Marie. I like how they have Poohs eye's closed.

The plush arrived smelling like smoke. I was upset, but it's my fault for not paying attention or asking the seller first. My question is: Does anybody know how to get rid of the smoke smell from plush? I have a small air-purifier (one of those ionic breeze thingies) in my closet. I am a cast member and go to disney all the time. I am doing a pirate themed birthday party for my son. I went to the pirate store right after the ride and they had a wonderful leather looking adult sized captain jack hat (tricorn), the one that was left was pretty mangled so I did not get it. I was told to come back in a few days and check because they would have more. Since I was told this, I have made the trip from Tampa to Orlando 3 times and still none of the stores on property have this hat, finally I was given this number and told that you folks would be able to help me with this. A 20$ hat is costing me 50+ dollars just in gas, I just find it hard to believe they never have this in stock. Please get back to me as soon as possible I need to get this hat by 09/22/06. Thank you for your time.

Apparently Tigger and Piglet are a little harder to obtain, but are available. Also any UK Disney Fans going to Florida. If you are going to the Florida Mall, the Disney Store will be shut from 2 July until Mid August. They are having a major refurbishment. There are new "Graduation" plushes which each has on a cap (which says Class of 2006) & gown...Plus is holding a diploma with a matching ribbon around it. It also goes along with the USPS stamp release -- 4 new stamps released today having to do with romance. Anyway, Minnie & Mickey are like topiary bushes. They have a magnet n their noses and they have velcro on one hand. The each have a butterfly on one foot. I was going to put a picture in this post but I couldn't figure out how....
