Her ideas are darn intriguing, but I do have a problem with the notion that none of us is our brother's keeper.

Even dogs are capable of altruistic behavior (sacrificing their own lives to save an owner) so I am of the mind that humans should hold themselves to a higher standard than to merely act in their own self interest.
