She has terrible allergic reactions to even small quantities of cigarette smoke. She ends up retching, gagging, having trouble breathing, puffy, watery eyes, etc.
She can't go to a bar, go bowling, etc. We've even had to leave a 4th of July fireworks display -- not because of the smoke from the fireworks, but because of the presence of dozens of people smoking in the area.

I've never seen her have any kind of reaction from car exhaust.
